Abbott Furnace Company was established in 1982 as a manufacturing and service company for control panels. In 1986, Abbott Furnace manufactured its first continuous belt furnace for the heat treat industry. Later, Abbott Furnace has expanded into diverse domestic and foreign industries, including furnaces for powdered metal, annealing, brazing, thick film processing, glass to metal seal, and fuel cells.
Abbott Furnace is located in the City of St. Marys in Northwestern Pennsylvania. We employ 70+ skilled and salaried employees in a modern 50,000 square foot facility. Our work force is very stable with an average tenure of 10 years. This stability in our workforce has permitted us to focus on continuous belt furnace technology and service, facilitating the growth of long-term business relationships with our valued customers.
Abbott Furnace Company Acquires Intellectual Property of Drever Furnace from The Rose Corporation
St. Marys, PA (December 1, 2016) – Abbott Furnace Company, a leading manufacturer of continuous industrial furnaces and thermal processing equipment, is pleased to announce that it has acquired the intellectual property of Drever Furnace from The Rose Corporation, located in Reading, PA. An excellent complement to Abbott Furnace Company’s expertise and technology in continuous powder metal sintering furnaces, brazing furnaces, and heat treating equipment, the Drever designs will be integrated into Abbott Furnace Company’s current product offering and manufactured in St. Marys.
