2024 IBSC Recap

The 2024 International Brazing and Soldering Conference (IBSC) was held in Charleston, SC on April 14-17. The conference was a huge success, with over 140 attendees from around the world.

IBSC included a large variety of brazing and soldering technical presentations covering a wide range of industries from automotive, aerospace, defense, electronics, and the latest emerging technologies. There were also several poster presentations from universities and technical centers worldwide.

Presentation topics included corrosion resistance, interaction of dissimilar materials, additive manufacturing, repair techniques and unique alloys. The latest methods of testing and modeling to increase the speed of development and implementation while helping to reduce cost were also discussed.

Exhibits included tabletop displays by a variety of companies from brazing and soldering equipment manufacturers, filler metal producers, industrial gas providers, refractory components, automation or handling integrators, and companies providing other material or services vital to the process.

A social event held at the Church and Union restaurant offered attendees an opportunity to mingle with peers in a relaxed setting while enjoying excellent food and sharing stories with like-minded individuals.
